Talisman's Background

Since its creation in January 2002, Talisman has gone from strength to strength and secured its reputation as the leading market specialist agency in Contract Engineering recruitment.

Despite the 2002/2003 downturn in UK industry, where many established companies went bust, Talisman not only survived but prospered. By providing an excellent level of service and building mutually beneficial business relationships with a portfolio of key clients nationwide, Talisman became one of the few companies that customers trusted to manage their requirements with the level of professionalism required in a candidate-heavy market.

Since then, the market has changed but the Talisman modus operandi remains the same - to do good business. To provide a valuable, time-saving service to clients, to provide talented Contractors with rewarding projects and to provide a workplace where Talisman staff enjoy learning and earning.

The operation is overseen day to day by the Managing Director, Ross Williams, who has worked in Recruitment since graduating, rising through the ranks from Sales Support to Consultant and then into Management and Directorship. Mr. Williams has since had a series of articles about Recruitment and the Sales industry published in the Reading Chronicle and is currently writing a book on the subject due for publication in late 2009.

The other members of the board comprise individuals who have worked in Recruitment for the majority of their career and have substantial holdings in several other prominent Recruitment companies in the Thames Valley region.

With a Sales office based in Wokingham town centre and an Accounts centre in Reading, Talisman enjoys excellent geographical positioning that provides an easily commutable workplace for our staff.
